Veezi had a new look at CinemaCon this year with our refreshed style and UI, but that’s far from all we had to show at the Veezi tradeshow booth. Demos at the booth showcased the many ways Veezi is boosting indies’ revenue, allowing you to keep your fingers on the pulse of your business, and offer more value to your moviegoers.
For those who didn’t make it to CinemaCon, we’re ensuring no indie gets left behind by bringing you all our insights and highlights from the event.
Affordably matching big cinema chains
Veezi Global Director Micheal Gannon and the team spoke with many of the wonderful independents at CinemaCon. Alongside consistent excitement at new releases in the slates from the studio presentations, including F1, Mission: Impossible: The Final Reckoning, Superman, and Final Destination: Bloodlines, we heard resounding excitement from independent cinemas about technology opportunities in the industry.
Achieving affordable sophistication was a common thread. Independents rightly want to match the ‘bells and whistles’ that large cinema chains have: dynamic websites, seamless ticketing, and more.
In line with the desire to have your audiences choose your cinemas over larger enterprise chains, the Veezi tradeshow booth showcased a preview of Subscriptions. An extension of Veezi’s established Loyalty and membership capabilities set to be released to North American and Asia Pacific regions later this year, Subscriptions will give you the additional option of recurring payments, and with an overhauled backend, also makes it even easier to manage loyalty clubs, subscription programmes, and festivals.
“As mainstays of their local communities, independent cinemas have highly engaged loyalty clubs,” as Mike Gannon explained. “With subscriptions, we’re helping to create an even stronger proposition for moviegoers to choose them exclusively, and to visit more often.”
Embracing the power in data
Along with marketing, automation, and other efficiencies, interest in data continues to grow for the independent cinemas we spoke to at CinemaCon. Cinemas recognise the value of keeping and leveraging your data to its fullest.
Our clients, especially those in a circuit, took note of demos of Horizon and Oneview—reporting and analytics software developed by Vista—enabling the tracking of operational performance and supporting you to make data-driven decisions.
“Being able to review their key metrics in real time from a mobile device with Oneview keeps cinema owners up with the play and able to assess results at a glance,” Mike said. Independents understand that data can give you a real edge, and Oneview is designed to make understanding that data as easy and fast as possible. Oneview even has the capability to generate a daily podcast so cinema owners can download your latest stats and info on the go.
Excitement for the future
CinemaCon attendees got to see a preview of Veezi’s new refreshed interface, but keep your eyes peeled for its arrival in the software later in the year. The team were delighted to catch up with so many of our clients and see the excitement across the industry for the upcoming slate.
