Robinson Film Center installed a ticketing system about 7 years ago and for the last 5 or 6 years watched as mobile became more popular. They really wanted to catch up, but once you start using a ticketing system it is hard to switch when you are working with it every single day.
But switch they did, and “Veezi made it a breeze. The team are very attentive, they don’t give cookie cutter solutions but focus on our need, not the service they offer,” says Executive Director, Alexandyr Kent.
Being Not For Profit they needed both power and affordability. Veezi comes with all the premium features required at a basic price. Alex believes you must spend to your needs and is happy to pay more as more tickets are sold.
“The streamlined design tells me Veezi will be successful. It sounds stupid but it is true, after all Amazon is Amazon for a reason. I have looked at a lot of ticketing systems where it has been a little cumbersome; this system is a fast, easy experience for our users, you don’t need instructions to figure it out, and it is easier to service on the back end”.
“We made the transition at the biggest selling time of the year and sold more tickets online in two weeks than we did in the previous year. The moviegoer can close their wallet quickly, they want the purchase experience to be fast, pleasant and over as quickly as possible. We are a small theatre with a small workforce and Veezi gives us more time with the moviegoer. We know they don’t like long lines so a product like Veezi helps people enjoy the movies more,” says Alex.
Performance data gives Alex information that allows him to quickly see audience patterns. They can figure out why things are changing and adjust show times accordingly.
Veezi knows movies and the independent film market which is a bonus for Alex. “Veezi understands the need to grab moviegoer attention and by streamlining content we generate more sales. People are signing up for tickets in advance, not just for today, but also for the future and this is invaluable. Bottom line is, give the best experience, have the technology to operate more efficiently, and spend as little as possible. That‘s gold for us”.
